Webinar about the reception of foreign researchers and research stays

On 6 September 2022, Campus France, in collaboration with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research has held in its premises a hybrid webinar about the reception of foreign researchers and research stays as part of the implementation of the research programming law.

This webinar as involved several representatives of the ministries of higher education and research, Europe and foreign affairs, health and prevention, of domestic security and of oversea territories, but also the CNAM, the Euraxess association and the teams at Campus France.
The theme drew a lot of interest considering the number of registrations, about 700, but also questions raised, more than 400, asked before the webinar and online: about reception agreements and research stays, complementary funding, resources criteria, visas and residence permits, including the talent passport for foreign researchers, social security and coverage of work accidents and occupational diseases, and more.

Presentations that were made provided information to institutions and specific answers to several interrogations.

An FAQ is currently under way to provide better information to institutions, doctoral schools and research units working to improve the reception of foreign doctoral students and researchers.
